Our Story
Read & Errington was established in August 1996 by Martin Read, Alan Errington and Graham Read with a workforce of just six employees.
Over the last 30 years, the company has experienced steady and sustainable growth, expanding into one of the region’s most respected heating and engineering businesses while maintaining the personal service and attention to detail that have always been at the heart of the company.
Today, Read & Errington employs around 30 local employees, delivering domestic and commercial heating, plumbing and renewable energy solutions across Lancashire.
The company has remained committed to investing in people throughout its history, with many engineers progressing through its apprenticeship programme. Former apprentice Adam Farrar joined the Board of Directors in 2006, highlighting Read & Errington’s commitment to developing future talent from within the business.
